A Season to Gather, Give Thanks, and Celebrate
As we come to the last few months of 2026, even though it still feels like summer.
Fall, Advent and Christmas are quickly approaching. These are wonderful seasons for
fellowship, service, and worship at Center Hill Baptist Church. In the weeks ahead,
our church family will have many opportunities to welcome our community, encourage
our neighbors, and celebrate the goodness of God.
Our Wood Carvers Open House will showcase the artistry and craftsmanship of
talented local wood carvers. Guests can view their work, meet the artists, and enjoy a
welcoming time of community fellowship. Our Fall Bazaar and Yard Sale will offer
another opportunity to gather, shop for special finds, and support the ministries of
Center Hill Baptist Church.
Food and fellowship will come together during our Community Spaghetti Dinner. We
look forward to welcoming families and friends around the table for a delicious meal
and warm conversation.
We will have the wonderful opportunity to visit a special Man in the Shroud Exhibit,
which will be held at Central Methodist Church in Denton on November 8-15 will
invite visitors to explore the history and significance of the Shroud while reflecting on
its connection to the life, suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Our Community Thanksgiving Celebration will also give us an opportunity to pause
and thank God for His faithfulness and for the blessings of faith, family, church, and
community.
Our congregation will also put faith into action by assisting our WOM to prepare
Shut-In Bags for home bound members and neighbors. These thoughtful gifts will
offer encouragement and remind each recipient that they are remembered, valued, and
loved. Through our Angel Tree ministry, we will help make Christmas brighter for
children and families by sharing the generosity and love of Christ.
As Christmas approaches, we will spread seasonal joy through Christmas Caroling.
Everyone is invited to add their voice as we sing favorite carols and encourage others
with the good news of Jesus’ birth.
Our season will conclude with a beautiful Christmas Candlelight Service and
Fellowship. Through Scripture, prayer, music, and candlelight, we will celebrate the
birth of Jesus and the hope He brings to the world. Following the service, we will
enjoy a special time of fellowship as a church family.
There is a place for everyone during this joyful season at Center Hill Baptist Church.
